IM on Mac OS X? Try Gaim!

You always wanted to have one program for all your Instant Messaging protocols that should run on all operating systems you use? Gaim is the best choice for Linux and Windows in my opinion. It is not to big, fast and simple but nevertheless extensible. But what to run on Mac OS X?

Till now I use Adium but it sometimes disconnects without me recognizing it and doesn't reconnect properly. With fink and X11 for Mac OS X you have the opportunity to install Gaim on your Mac. It doesn't look nice in contrast to the aqua theme but does it job very well in its first test. The only problem I see at the moment is notification which doesn't work at all and the application doesn't integrate into the dock as native programs do. If someone has a solution please let me know. The only one I can think of is waiting until there's a real port to Mac OS X available.
